Shrimp boat Sound Studio
At the end of the Yellow Brick Road (US 1) in Key West is Shrimp boat Sound Studio.
Outside Shrimp Boat Sound Studio
In 1986, Jimmy Buffett bought an old run-down building, an icehouse used by the shrimp boats docking just outside. He transformed this into an unassuming sound studio where he and other popular musicians recorded songs for their albums.

Night View of outside wall
Since Jimmy’s passing the many Parrot-heads have plastered stickers all over the building and placed items around leaving mementos and other items for other journeyers to see.
Sound board
I have been here many times in my adventures to Key West so it’s meaning changes now. No more island music, concerts, or reading his books.

The Captain’s chair is empty now, no more mixing of our favorite tunes.
Just a happy theme of “Keep the party going” for all of us parrot-heads we enjoyed 50 years of music and lifestyle.
